A senior engineer inside your team. I work in your codebase, standups and code reviews, and stay long enough to own a real part of the product. Under the hood: Laravel, Node.js, Python or AWS.
Full-time or long contract
I have run CI and production monitoring on teams that ship Laravel and Node.js. Docker where the environment has to match. Git flow and review so a Friday deploy is not a surprise.
The useful version is small: tests that run before merge, a deploy that does not depend on one person’s machine, and a log you can read when a job fails.
I also stay for the week after. The bugs that matter show up when real data hits the new path.
